Dear Mr. John Malkovich:

I understand you construct wigs.

Currently, my hair is approximately 9 inches of length from the back of my neck. Initially I was preparing to donate this length to Locks of Love, “a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.” (http://www.locksoflove.org)

However, I will rescind this option if you would be interested in purchasing my hair. From what I understand, my hair is of significant quality. It is unbleached and uncolored. I do not smoke. I practice an organic diet. I do not use any hair products of any kind; no shampoo, no conditioner, no wax. I routinely brush it everyday. And I am of partial Asian descent.

I await your reply until the end of the month of February, 2010 upon which the hair will be donated to Locks of Love. Also, if you wish to have a more substantial length, I would gladly continue to grow my hair until satisfaction is met.

You may contact me via my website: http://www.codypickrodt.com/contact/ for further discussion.

I accept cash, checks, gold and Western Union, and look forward to speaking with you.

I have included a photograph for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Cody Pickrodt

Upcoming Sweatshop Social Monday

I need to complete my poncho and make a bag out of the refuse, so I’m heading to the next Sweatshop Social at the 3rd Ward.

Every last Monday of the Month, 7 to 10 p, FREE at the 3rd ward:

Bags for the People and 3rd Ward have partnered up to bring you “Sweatshop Socials” every last Monday of each month, from 7 to 10pm.

You bring the fun and the fabric; we’ll provide the sewing machines, instruction, drinks, snacks and live music. ‘Cause everybody knows plastic is passe.”

Made for food-shopping fashionistas and creative environmentalists alike, join non-profit organization, Bags for the People, in a night of custom cotton bag making. You bring the fun and the fabric; we’ll provide the sewing machines, instruction, drinks, snacks and live music. ‘Cause everybody knows plastic is passe.

Artist Wanted

I’ve been working on what is the first of series of paintings showcasing various comic book artists preparing for war. Naturally, the first subject is myself, and as matter of fortune Artist’s Wanted (http://www.artistwanted.org) is holding a competition for self portraits called THE POWER OF SELF. See comic post for monday, january 18 for a sneek peek of my submission.
